ZX-6R · 15/45 swept

Track gearing two teeth shorter than stock, on 525 chain: a 45T aluminium rear with six swept spokes, on the ZX-6R's pattern (6 × 8.5 mm on 100).

Build it with your AI

Using the CheapCAD Tools connector, design a two-sprocket drive in Sprocket Designer on 525 motorcycle roller chain (ISO 10190), 110 chain links. Sprocket 1: 15 teeth, a front (countershaft) sprocket held by a nut and tab washer; an ISO 4156 involute spline bore, module 1, 20 teeth, 30° pressure angle (a sample spline: use your bike's). Sprocket 2: 45 teeth, a rear sprocket; a 100 mm bolt circle (BCD) with 6 bolts, 8.5 mm holes; an 87.5 mm centre bore; spokes: curved spokes, 6 of them, Hub OD 124 mm, Rim Depth 10 mm, Spoke Width 14 mm, Fillet at Rim 3 mm, Fillet at Hub 4 mm. Check the design, apply any Auto-fix it suggests, then export both sprockets as STL and give me the download link.

Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or any AI app with the CheapCAD Tools connector, and it designs this drive with you, checks it and hands you the files. How to connect your AI.

What's in this design

Sprocket 1 · 15 teeth

  • 15T 525 countershaft sprocket, involute spline (m 1 × 20, a sample, not the bike's), nut held
  • 134 MPa peak · SF 3.09 in 4140 steel · rim moves 0.05 mm · 7.46 mm plate · 69 % solid

Sprocket 2 · 45 teeth

  • 45T 525 rear, 6 × 8.5 mm on 100
  • 205 MPa peak · SF 2.45 in 7075-T6 · rim moves 0.56 mm · 7.46 mm plate · 42 % solid

Notes

  • The rear's look is styled after the Vortex CAT5 aluminium rear (swept spokes from the bolt ring to the rim). The look only: it is not that maker's part or dimensions, and no maker endorses it.
  • The front's involute spline (module 1, 20 teeth) is a sample, not the Kawasaki ZX-6R's countershaft spline: set your own spline in the app before you make a front.
  • The rear's bolt pattern is the app's preset, taken from retailer listings: an approximation, not a fitment guarantee. Measure your own hub.
  • Strength figures are at 373 N·m at the countershaft, an estimate from peak engine torque in first gear: 69.0 N·m × 1.900 × 2.846 (Kawasaki spec sheet).

The link opens both sprockets and the chain in the Sprocket Designer's 3D Mode. Change the teeth, bore, hub or spokes, then download STL, STEP, DXF or SVG. Strength figures are the app's plane-stress check of each sprocket in the material it names; SF is the safety factor.
