1. Who We Are

Myerchin Enterprises Inc., operating as Cheap CAD Tools, develops and distributes browser-based and desktop CAD utilities. This policy applies to our website at cheapcadtools.com and all software products we publish, including CAD plug-ins, web tools, and standalone desktop applications.

2. Data We Collect

Design and Job Data

When you use a web-based or desktop tool, your input parameters are transmitted to our server to generate the requested output file. This data is processed in memory and is not stored after the result is returned to you.

Bug Reports (voluntary)

If you submit a bug report through any of our products, we collect a description of the issue, the relevant tool state at the time, and optionally your email address if you choose to provide one. This data is stored on our server and may be filed in our private GitHub repository. Email addresses are used only to follow up on your report and are never used for marketing.

Subscription and Account Data

For paid products, we store the account identifier used to verify your subscription (such as your Autodesk User ID or email address) on our hosting server. This data is used solely to confirm that you hold an active licence. A purchase confirmation email is sent when you subscribe.

Desktop App Activation

Where a standalone desktop application requires licence activation, a machine identifier derived from a one-way hash of your hardware ID is sent to our activation server. This binds your licence to your machine and is used only to prevent a single licence from running on multiple computers simultaneously.

Locally Stored Data

Some of our products store preferences or history files locally on your machine (for example, a record of recent imports or your last-used settings). These files never leave your computer and can be deleted at any time through the product’s interface or by uninstalling the product.

Server Performance Metrics

Our servers collect aggregate performance data (CPU usage, memory usage, request rate) to monitor service health. These metrics contain no user-identifying information and are retained for 30 days.

3. Third Parties

We share data with the following third parties only as necessary to operate our services. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Each provider is contractually or by policy obligated to protect data to a standard commensurate with this policy.

GitHub	Bug tracking	Bug report content may be filed in our private GitHub repository. Email addresses are not shared with GitHub.

4. Data Retention

5. Revoking Consent and Requesting Deletion

To request deletion of your data or to revoke consent, email [email protected] with your account identifier (Autodesk User ID or email address). We will delete your records within 14 days and confirm by reply. Locally stored data can be removed at any time through the product’s interface or by uninstalling the product.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our products are professional engineering tools not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have rights regarding your personal data under applicable law, including GDPR for EEA/UK residents and the CCPA for California residents. To exercise any such right, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at cheapcadtools.com/privacy-policy. Continued use of our products after any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
