Terms of Service
In short: our web tools are free to use; downloading a file costs tokens, which you buy in packs. New accounts get 20 free tokens, and tokens last as long as you sign in at least once every 5 years. One purchase covers every file of the same design for 24 hours. You own the files you make — but they are engineering tools’ output, so check them before you build anything that matters.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Myerchin Enterprises Inc., operating as Cheap CAD Tools (“we”, “us”). They apply to our website at cheapcadtools.com, our web tools (such as the pulley designer), and our CAD add-ins (together, “the service”). By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a company, you accept them for that company too.
2. Your account
- Designing on screen needs no account. Downloading files from the web tools needs a free account, which you sign in to with an emailed link or with your Google or GitHub account.
- Keep access to your email and sign-in accounts secure: anyone who can sign in as you can spend your tokens. Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account, and sign out any session you don’t recognize.
- One person, one account. Please don’t create extra accounts to collect free starter tokens; new accounts beyond a daily number from one network start without them.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 13.
3. Tokens

At pack prices, one token is 5 US cents.
- One purchase covers the whole design for 24 hours. Paying for a file type unlocks that type and every cheaper type for every part of the same design, for 24 hours. Moving to a dearer type within that time costs only the difference. Changing the design makes it a new design.
- The price is shown before you download, and nothing is charged until you confirm.
- If a file fails to generate, its tokens are returned automatically. If a file you paid for is faulty, tell us and we will return the tokens or fix it.
Buying tokens
- Tokens are sold in packs on our buy page, at the prices shown there when you buy. Payment is taken by PayPal or Stripe; their own terms also apply to the payment.
- Prices are in US dollars. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase where we don’t collect them.
- We may change pack sizes and prices for future purchases. Tokens you have already bought are not affected.
Expiry
- Tokens last as long as you sign in at least once every 5 years. The same rule applies to every token, free or bought.
- After 5 years without a sign-in, the account is closed: its personal details are deleted and any tokens left in it expire.
- We email you at least 30 days before that happens, saying how many tokens are affected. Signing in resets the clock; or ask for a refund of the unused tokens you bought before the closing date (see our Terms of Service, section 4).
- Free tokens — the 20 new accounts start with, and any promotions — are used before the ones you buy, and can’t be refunded.
What tokens are not
Tokens are a prepaid right to download files from the service. They are not money, have no cash value, can’t be transferred, sold or exchanged between accounts, and earn no interest. We may correct your balance if tokens were added or taken by mistake.
4. Refunds
You can ask for a refund of the unused purchased tokens in your account by emailing [email protected] from the account’s address. How it’s worked out:
- Only tokens you bought and haven’t used can be refunded — never more than your balance. Free tokens can’t be refunded, including the 20 new accounts start with; they’re always used first.
- They are valued at the price you paid for them.
- Payment processor charges are deducted. PayPal and Stripe generally keep their fees when a payment is refunded, so the refund is the value of the unused tokens less those fees.
- The money goes back to the original payment method where the payment provider still allows it (usually within about 6 months of the purchase); otherwise we will arrange another way to pay it.
- The refunded tokens are removed from your balance.
If a payment is reversed or charged back, the tokens it bought are removed; if they were already spent, your balance can fall below zero until it is topped up.
5. Add-ins, scripts and AI agents
- You may use the service through our CAD add-ins, your own scripts or an AI agent, connected to your account through our device sign-in. Each connection has its own daily token limit — 100 tokens a day unless you change it — which you can change or remove on your account page. Browser use has no daily limit.
- You are responsible for what your connected tools do with your account, including the tokens they spend. Disconnect any you no longer use.
6. Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- try to get files without paying for them, get around the token system, the limits or the free-token rules, or use another person’s account without permission;
- overload, probe or interfere with the service, or access it other than through our pages, add-ins and documented interfaces;
- resell or rent out access to the service itself, or pass it off as your own service;
- use the service to break the law or anyone’s rights.
We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Unless the account was used for fraud, we will refund the unused purchased tokens of an account we close, as described in section 4.
7. Your designs and files
- You own the files you make and may use them for any purpose, including in products you sell. We claim no rights in your designs.
- Each file contains its design’s settings so it can be re-opened in our tools; anyone you share a file with can see them.
- Our software, website, add-ins and the way they generate geometry remain ours. Using the service doesn’t give you rights to them beyond using the service as intended.
8. Check your output
Our tools produce geometry from the numbers you enter, and you are responsible for checking it before you rely on it. Verify dimensions, fits, clearances, materials, strength and suitability for your application — especially for parts where failure could cause injury, damage or loss. Parts made by 3D printing, machining or other methods may differ from the file, and settings such as print compensation are approximations.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running and to fix problems quickly, but we don’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever stop offering the web tools, we will give at least 60 days’ notice by email and refund the unused purchased tokens left in accounts at that time, as described in section 4.
10. Disclaimer
Except as stated in these terms, the service and all files it produces are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, production or goodwill, arising from the service or any file it produces. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you; nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can’t be limited by law.
12. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time by asking us (see our Privacy Policy). Ask for a refund of your unused purchased tokens when you do — it’s worked out as in section 4. Tokens left in the account once it is closed can no longer be used or refunded.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top. We will email account holders about significant changes before they take effect; if you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. Changes never reduce the value of tokens you have already bought.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be decided in the state or federal courts in King County, Washington, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
